Renowned UK Jazz Pianist Greg Foat and Mercury Award-nominated artist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Hampshire have joined forces to produce a captivating LP that draws upon their eclectic musical backgrounds. Their collaboration infuses elements of classic British library music, 1960s Italian soundtracks, and forgotten Americana, intertwined with modern classical, minimalism, jazz, and folk influences. Boasting contributions from various members of Greg and Warren’s past projects and the exceptional talent of one of the UK’s premier jazz drummers, Clark Tracy, the LP also showcases the talents of an Edinburgh orchestra and soloists meticulously selected and scored by the duo.
Recorded entirely analogue onto 2″ multitrack tape in Edinburgh, mixed by Mattias Glavå at his studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, and ultimately mastered and cut in Helsinki, Finland, this album represents a true European collaboration that defies the challenges of Brexit. Scheduled for release in June 2017, it promises to be a standout addition to the contemporary music landscape.
